This notice explains how GMT Capital Investments Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal information sent to us through this website. We are the controller of that information for the purposes of UK data protection law.
What we collect
When you use the contact form we receive the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, and optionally your company and phone number, together with your message. We also receive the date and time of your message and the country your connection comes from.
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a message comes from a person rather than an automated program. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and connection.
Why we use it
We use your details to read, consider and reply to your message, and to keep a record of correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in considering investment opportunities put to us. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing.
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and runs the bot check.
- Resend, which delivers messages from the form to our inbox.
These providers act on our instructions and may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU and US Data Privacy Framework.
We may also share information with our parent company, Tait Global Holdings Ltd, and with our professional advisers where that is needed to consider an opportunity you have put to us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards, normally no more than two years, unless an ongoing relationship or a legal obligation means we need to keep them for longer.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or restrict using it. You can also object to our use of it. To make a request, use the contact form on this website or write to us at our registered office.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
